Larch wood

Larch Larch is a huge coniferous tree belonging to the pine family. An average Larch tree may reach up to 20 FT in diameter and up to 150 FT in height. It can live for 700-1000 years, the age of some trees reaching 1300 years old. The Most expensive Larch is growing in Siberia, because the climate on the European territory is much milder, hence the European or Canadian Larch is much softer and is comparable to regular pine, the thickness of its annual rings reaching only 2 inches. Siberian Larch possesses many useful qualities; its wood is able to withstand mechanical damage and is not subject to rotting. Therefore some constructions from Larch made 1000 years ago can still be found in Siberia. Another example is the City of Venice, which stands on piles made from Larch able to withstand destructive force of sea water. Due to this quality Larch was also widely used in ship building. Wood rodents and termites tend to avoid this wood.

Larch wood has 12 shades; it’s more than those of oak, beech, maple or ash. Modern technologies allow making various building materials from Larch with high-quality furnishing.

Larch does not require additional processing and impregnation as natural impregnation of wood gum protects products from termites. This useful quality of Larch helps to minimize expenses and raise the demand for items made from it.

Larch is environmentally sound. Its natural shine, rich scale of shades and warm colors create a cozy and natural atmosphere in the house. A lot of house designers widely use finishing materials made from Larch, because its quality and beauty allow to perform work of the highest quality.

Durability and strength of Larch: Ability of wood to resist destruction caused by mechanical force is called durability. It depends on the direction of a working force, breed of a tree, density, humidity, presence of defects and is characterized by strength, that is the pressure at which the sample is destroyed.

The basic kinds of forces are: stretching, compression and bend. The hardness of wood depends above all on the breed of wood, and also to a certain extend from conditions, under which a tree is growing, e.g. the level of humidity. The conditions may vary greatly, depending on the type of wood and even within one and the same breed. On the Brunell scale evaluating average relative parameters of wood hardness the hardness of oak is accepted for 100%. The hardness of wood is determined under standard ÅÍ 1534:2000 by cave-in wood of the steel tempered ball in diameter of 10 mm with force in 200 lbs. As the hardness is measured, the index is placed on Brunell scale (the less the hole, the more firm the wood is). The number on the scale depends on the hardness of wood (the more the hardness, the higher the number on the scale). The decking made from Siberian Larch serves as a worthy decoration for any house. The unique technology of massive rods pasting allows lowering an internal pressure of wood. The tree becomes less subject to deformation, which considerably increases the service life of a deck.

Deck made from Siberian Larch is worthy ornament of any house. The unique technology of pasting of massive rods allows to lower an internal pressure of wood due to what the tree is less subject to deformation, that considerably increases service life of deck.

To preserve natural wood in modern decking constructions we use new manufacturing methods of glue processed wood.

The floor boards are based on a unique technology of preliminary pasting of massive rods which allows to lower the pressure inside wood. Due to the use of glue with the maximum moisture resistance massive peaces of wood are less subject to deformation caused by extreme weather conditions.

Our decking perfectly goes with other materials: stone, concrete, steel, etc and has practically unlimited service life (over 100 years).

One of the significant advantages of Larch wood is easy processing, which opens new possibilities for the owner’s creativity. It is also necessary to take into account the immunity of Larch to high humidity of air. Our Decking accumulates moisture in order to create a healthy natural climate. Larch provides effective sound and heat insulation. Larch decking is an ideal choice both for a beach or a country house with an open terrace as well as for the places with high degree of humidity and rapidly changing temperatures.
